The price restructuring that came into effect on 1 July 2004 means
changes to the way redcare products appear on customer
bills and ETS alike. It’s redcare’s
goal to equip our ARCs with the details they need when it comes
to customer queries.
First up, redcare is simplifying its mainstay
product offering to two core products: redcare classic
and redcare classic with gsm, eliminating the need
to differentiate between residential and business services in the
future. This means that redcare bus classic, redcare
bus with gsm, redcare res and redcare
res with gsm will no longer be available to order.
ARCs need to know that existing contracts will be migrated to the
appropriate new product on a contract-by-contract basis, determined
by the anniversary of the contract’s enablement date and its
billing cycle (monthly, quarterly or yearly). To facilitate the
migration of residential products, existing contracts will be referred
to as redcare old and redcare old with
gsm.
Some of our old favourites will be staying much the same, with
REDLINE and REDDIRECT undergoing
only a tariff increase (all contracts) on 1 October 2004. redcare
isdn is completely unaffected by the changes. Service options
such as Serial and TotalCare will
migrate to the new products as applicable.
The change is expected to be gradual. For the first year, bills
will reflect contracts for all existing, maintained and new redcare
products. From July 2005 onwards, only maintained and new products,
plus redcare 3 contracts that have yet to expire,
will be billed. After three years, only maintained and new products
will be billed.
